UCL Earth Sciences is a member of the London Geodiversity Partnership, one of a number of such partnerships countrywide, which brings together organisations and individuals to support geodiversity and landscape priorities in their region. The aim of geodiversity partnerships is to share experience and knowledge, to influence the development of regional planning and policy, and to develop geodiversity initiatives and projects across each region.

London's Geology: Fieldwork

London has much to offer students and teachers in the way of geology and physical geography fieldwork through the built environment as well as in parks, cemeteries and other open spaces.  The resources given here are designed to support teaching and learning about rocks and weathering at Key Stages 3 and 4, and Geography at GCSE and AS Level.  Background information is given together with downloadable exercises for students, and sample answers for teachers, all within the London area.  It is strongly recommended that the sites are visited by leaders in advance of a school visit.
