This event will take place IN PERSON and includes the opportunity to see collection items.
It is one of two events: a follow-up online event is scheduled for 8 December 4pm GMT and can be booked on Eventbrite here.
Dr. Yelda Nasifoglu is a UCL Special Collections visiting fellow at UCL's Research Institute For Collections during November 2022. At this event she will discuss her work in progress, half-way through the fellowship, on the circulation of mathematical works in Britain up to c.1700. Her project is entitled Reading and Collecting Mathematics in Early Modern Britain and examines Early Modern book catalogues and individual copies from the Graves Collection to gain more insight into the mathematical book trade of this period.
Selected collection items will be on display at the event.
