The 67th Internationales Sachsensymposion will be held in Antwerp, Belgium from the 17-21 September 2016. The theme for this year's symposium is: 'Early medieval waterscapes. Risks and opportunities for (in)material cultural exchanges'.
Several members of the Early Medieval Atlas are presenting:
- Andrew Reynolds, 'Travel and Communication in Anglo-Saxon England: An Overview'
- Chris Scull, 'Sand and Sea: waterscapes and centres of the early East Anglian kingdom in south-east Suffolk'
- Ellie Rye, 'Place-names and Travel in the Early Medieval Humber Region'
