The course is designed for all those clinicians who have a reasonable knowledge of vestibular assessment and rehabilitation but are looking to build on this foundation. Delegates will be provided with a pre-course reading list and presentations, which should maximise their learning opportunities during the course. Course materials are included in the registration fee.
As with all of the Advanced Audiology Masterclasses, this course also forms part of our MSc in Advanced Audiology.

Introductory Day (@ the Ear Institute) –
Day 1 is designed for clinicians who are new to the field or would like a refresher. It will include:
Overview of vestibular rehabilitation and outcome measures Workshops on clnical tests of balance (“bedside tests”)
- Workshops on BPPV
- Symptoms and findings in the dizzy patient – neurologist’s viewpoint
- Evening workshops covering a range of objective assessments of balance function (including VEMPs, head impulse tests, visual vertical, dynamic visual acuity and more)
- Days 2 & 3 Overview
- Advanced BPPV
- Advanced vestibular rehabilitation
- Medical management – cases
- Physiotherapeutic management
- Motion sickness
- Optokinetic desensitization
- Developing your Vestibular rehabilitation skills
