Nick Boyd-Gibbins

Nick Boyd-Gibbins is an Impact PhD student at UCL

Before joining the Albert lab I completed a degree in Medical Engineering at Queen Mary, University of London, carrying out projects in proprioception, balance and single cell mechanics. My work in Dr Albert's lab focuses on the molecular characterization of mechanotransduction in the Drosophila auditory Johnston’s Organ, identifying the sites of action of neuroactive insecticides as well as investigating the organ’s homeostasis. Currently I am attempting to record single cell electrophysiology from auditory neurons.
