Collaboration with Chinese Academy of Sciences

Nico Daudet and colleagues will soon be collaborating with Dr Zhiyong Liu from the Shanghai Institute of Neuroscience (itself part of the Chinese Academy of Science), They will be supported by a 2-year long Royal Society award to develop new methods for genome editing in the chicken and the mouse inner ear.

As part of the Newton Advanced Fellowship their study is entitled "Establishing Crispr/Cas9-mediated somatic gene editing methods for studying the mechanisms of development and regeneration of the avian inner ear”.

Nico promises that as part of their collaboration there will be field trips once the coronavirus pandemic is over!
