Caroline Anderson

Caroline Anderson, NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow

I am an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow combining training in ENT surgery in the London Deanery with research.

I studied medicine at Norwich Medical School, intercalating a Masters in Research during which I undertook clinical research into oral cancer. I moved to the Oxford Deanery to complete the Academic Foundation Programme, where I gained lab research skills whilst undertaking a project into mechanisms of drug resistance in renal cell carcinoma.

I am now working between EvidENT and the Ear Institute, looking into how we deliver hearing loss therapies to the inner ear.  I have a particular interest in the translational and collaborative aspects of hearing therapy research, and plan to develop a PhD proposal that spans lab and clinical research.

I also have an interest in clinical education and am involved in undergraduate teaching, as well as developing post-graduate training opportunities.
