Speaker: Prof Aaron Seitz, Northeastern University

Abstract:

In this talk, I will introduce tools that we are developing to effectively measure hearing at home and in clinics. Our system, Portable Automated Rapid Testing (PART) can deliver powerful psychoacoustical assessments using consumer grade hardware (iOS, Andriod, Mac, PC) that can bring the lab to the participant. I will discuss our research validating the PART and discuss opportunities of how PART can be used to gather large-scale data sets of measures of central auditory processing, as well as cognitive data, that historically were restricted to laboratory environments.

Free and no need to book.
