Answer

Fouad Ahidar is a ‘scale’, because he points out the respective responsibilities to both the autochtonous and the allochtonous populations. The autochtonous people should stop making a distinction that far too often pigeonholes the allochtonous as problematic. The allochtonous people on the other hand, should be careful about attributing every single issue they encounter to racism. Some members of the Moroccan community think therefore that Mr. Ahidar is not loyal to their community and even claim that he supports the Vlaams Belang. So for them, this ‘scale’ is a term of abuse, because they think Fouad speaks too much like the ‘racist’ autochtonous population and not enough in favour of his ‘own’.
