A FREE FESTIVAL at: Serpentine Bar and Kitchen from 9-5pm and at the Kensington Gore Hotel from 5pm until late.

Litro Magazine, the Royal Netherlands Embassy London, and UCL Dutch have teamed up to host a free spoken word and music festival in celebration of the Netherlands and the impact it has had on the world through literature, sports and the arts. Readings, spoken word performances, debates and music will take place in Hyde Park, at the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen, and the Kensington Gore Hotel – throughout the day and evening. Across the road, Rococo chocolatier will be hosting free chocolate making classes, and we have more surprises to be announced!

With London playing host to what is the greatest sporting show on earth, our theme on the day will be Sports, the Arts and everything else in between. There will be readings, discussions, interviews and live music from the soulful ‘Dust’, in the day, and we will welcome back ‘Mad Dog’ – who rocked our Camden Crawl stage back in 2010 – in the evening. Guest speakers include Mart Smeets, David Winner (journalist and author of Brilliant Orange: About the neurotic genius of Dutch football), Simon Kuper of the Financial Times (and author of Ajax, the Dutch and the War), award-winning writer & poet Ramsey Nasr, Abdelkader Benali (Writer in Residence 2012 at UCL Dutch, marathon enthusiast and writer of the novel Marathon Runner), and award-winning Flemish writer Chika Unigwe, winner of the 2004 BBC Short Story Competition and a Commonwealth Short Story Competition award. Many more award-winning writers are to be announced as well as special guests including international Dutch footballers of past and present.

And all for free!
