UCL Dutch aims to reward academic excellence among new students of its postgraduate programme by offering a study expense bursary for new students starting the MA in Dutch Studies in September 2012. The bursary covers up to £600 towards study expenses like books, research travel and other research related expenses.

Candidates must have been formally admitted to the MA Dutch Studies pathway of the MA Language, Culture, History before they can be considered for a bursary.

To be considered for a scholarship, you must have received a letter from the UCL Registry offering you a place on the programme, and you must have informed the UCL Registry, in writing, of your acceptance of the offer by 1 August 2012.

Selection Criteria

Bursaries are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, achievement and potential. Financial circumstances of the candidates are not taken into account.

There is no formal application procedure. All prospective students who have been offered and have formally accepted a place on the programme by 1 August 2012 (please apply 4-6 weeks before to allow for processing) will be considered for a bursary. Decisions about awards will be made by a selection committee consisting of academic staff from the UCL Department of Dutch.

Notification of Results

Results will be announced to the successful candidate by 8 August 2012.

This bursary has been made possible by generous donations of Alumni of UCL Dutch.
