- Postdoctoral Research Associate
Aida is a Research Associate and Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Dementia Research Centre. She is interested in visual function, language and memory in degenerative dementia and currently working in the development of a software-based tool to facilitate reading in patients suffering from neurodegenerative conditions that impair vision.
Another aspect of her work aims
to investigate the phenotypic heterogeneity in Alzheimer’s disease in order to improve differential diagnosis and monitor disease progression. For this
purpose she studies clinical, behavioural, neuropsychiatric and cognitive data
and conducts structural neuroimage analysis on series of individuals affected
by typical, atypical, early and late-onset Alzheimer´s disease.
