Tag figurine

This carved figure has a stylized face, with expressive incised eyebrows. Whilst the design may seem simplistic, if you turn the object to see the flat edge you can see the dip to indicate the back of the head and hunched body above the shoulders.

The notches at the bottom suggest that this was a pendant which would have had string or cord tied around it for suspension. There are even signs of wear between the notches. Curiously, given the placement of the notches, it would seem that it would have hung upside down.
