We are excited to invite you to participate in a user study workshop. Your participation in this workshop will provide invaluable insights that will contribute to improving the research landscape and access to digital cultural heritage resources.

This workshop aims to bring together research teams, academic researchers and researchers from IROs (Independent Research Organisations). Specifically, it will co-develop a set of user requirements for a future digital collections infrastructure that addresses the needs of the research community, to store, use, analyse and preserve rich and diverse collections data from Galleries, Archives, Libraries and Museums.

This research is part of the Towards a National Collection (TaNC) program, which aims to open up and democratize access to cultural heritage collections across the UK. This user consultation ensures that the program meets the needs of the people who will be using it.

TaNC is a five-year investment from the UK Research and Innovation’s Strategic Priorities Fund, delivered by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). It is designed to take the first steps toward creating the digital infrastructure for a national collection by dissolving barriers between different cultural heritage collections.

The University of Portsmouth Heritage Hub is teaming up with our friends at UCLDH to host this workshop.  Hope to see you there. Please register at ucldh-tanc.eventbrite.co.uk
