The MSc in Language Sciences is an umbrella degree in the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences that provides students with an opportunity for the in-depth study of one or more areas of the Language Sciences. One of these specialist areas is Sign Language and Deaf Studies, supported by DCAL staff.
We particularly encourage applications from deaf and hard of hearing students and/or students from minority ethnic groups who are currently under-represented at UCL and DCAL.
The Snowdon Masters Scholarships provide up to £30,000 to UK or international disabled students to study on any UK Masters programme. Deaf and disabled students interested in the MSc Language Sciences (Sign Language and Deaf Studies) are encouraged to apply! These scholarships are offered by the Snowdon Trust, in partnership with the Global Disability Innovation Hub. Deadline for scholarship applications for 2022-23 is 1 1 April, 2022. Applications to Snowdon may be submitted in English or British Sign Language. (Note: To be considered for the scholarship, you must have an offer from your university of choice by 1 May. We therefore advise you apply to UCL MSc Language Sciences as soon as possible but no later than 11 March 2022.)
