Compliments and Complaints

What to do if you want to provide feedback or make a complaint about the UCL Day Nursery.

The UCL Day Nursery aims to provide a happy and stimulating environment for children, where they feel at home and loved. We strive to provide the best possible service and appreciate feedback from parents, whether positive or negative.

Our working practices provide parents with ample opportunity to discuss their child or children’s care and education. We encourage continual informal discussion with key workers and a scheduled formal review meeting, where we give feedback on both general issues of participation in the Nursery as well as on developmental targets for the early years foundation stage.

Making a complaint

If you wish to make a complaint about your experience of the UCL Day Nursery, we ask you to try first to resolve the matter informally, in consultation with the Nursery manager. Please contact the team in the first instance and you will be given a complaints form.

If the matter remains unresolved following an informal discussion, you may invoke UCL's centralised complaints procedure. This procedure is available to students or prospective students, to staff or prospective staff, to employers of UCL students or graduates, and to members of the general public.
