Coronavirus update

Due to the evolving Coronavirus outbreak and related concerns, our Performance Lab events in May 2020 at the Bloomsbury Theatre and Studio have been postponed or cancelled. We are working with our partners to reschedule these dates for Autumn 2020 onwards. If you have bought for shows affected by this then you will be emailed offering to transfer you tickets for the new dates or offered a full refund. We hope to be open again soon and our decision will be guided by the Government’s public health advice.

Soma Project Virtual Reality Experience

How can technology help us connect with our own bodies and experience new ways of being? Come and experience Soma, an experimental, participatory experience using virtual reality.
Accompanied by dancer-guides, you'll go on a sensory journey through physical, virtual and imagined environments.

The work presents a new way of experiencing virtual reality technology, beyond its common use as a form of escapism, as a tool that can enhance our connection with our bodies and provide opportunities for us to experience new ways of being together and heightening awareness of our environment.

Soma is an inclusive experience. We are interested in how each participant brings their own understandings and sensations of reality, perception and embodiment and how these differences can open up into a more diverse collective journey. Each session is one hour long and there are no more than four participants per session.
