Lockdown Lights

Lockdown Lights
UCL Culture brings you a mini-series of virtual events to lift your spirits and explore the emotions and experiences we’re all missing during lockdown. Meet some of UCL’s most innovative researchers, get stuck into a creative activity and enjoy our soundtrack by resident DJ, artist and raconteur, Richard DeDomenici.
More dates coming soon.

Laughter as Medicine
They say laughter is infectious and it’s the only thing we want to catch right now. Join us for an hour with UCL’s neuroscientist Professor Sophie Scott who will share the science behind laughing and why we are missing it so much, while suggesting ways to create the right conditions for it to thrive.

Mathematician turned World Slam champion Harry Baker will help you come up with your own ways of making people laugh (or at least yourself!). Our resident DJ Richard DeDomenici will spin some tunes to inspire you to compose your own jokes, which you can share with the group if you’re feeling brave.

This event has now finished. You can watch a full recording of Laughter as Medicine on YouTube
