Film_k presents Ukrainian New Wave Films
film_k launches at UCL East, with a screening of three Ukrainian New Wave films showing in the Community Cinema at One Pool Street, presented in partnership with the BA Creative Arts and Humanities.
This is a season of contemporary Ukrainian cinema showcasing seminal works by Oksana Karpovych and Juri Rechinsky each offering poignant reflections on the state of Ukraine, its collective suffering, hope and defiance in the face of war.
Each screening is free to attend and will be followed by a Q&A with special guests to be announced. This is a rare opportunity to watch a selection of important films that have not been widely distributed in the UK.
