UCL has facilities to test the environment you are looking to create and to measure their impact on the people who live and work in the built environment. UCL has tested a wide variety of surroundings, from how people board trains to onsite environmental monitoring, and are here to help provide innovative solutions to projects with complex testing requirements.

Space Syntax Laboratory

  • The VR Centre for the Built Environment brings the full range of computer graphics, interaction and digital data to the virtual building that drives the design-development-operation cycle.

Bartlett Heritage Science laboratory

  • Provides state-of-the-art portable and bench-top instrumentation for material and environmental research.

Pedestrian Accessibility Movement Environment Laboratory (PAMELA)

  • A novel and highly flexible facility allowing full-scale pedestrian infrastructure to be built and tested.
