BEIS publishes UCL IEDE reports on best-practice and innovation in wall insulation in the UK

Dr Rokia Raslan and Mr Yair Schwartz from UCL's Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering have recently published two reports exploring both innovation and best-practice in wall insulation.

The reports, commissioned by BEIS, builds on UCL IEDEs expertise in this area and was produced in collaboration with CAR (Cambridge Architectural Research). 

The work reviews relevant literature and identifies specific examples of future innovation and best-practice in solid wall insulation deployment, through an analysis of key case studies and industry project meetings with stakeholders. Key opportunities for innovation in this area are highlighted and a set of best-practice retrofit recommendations "best-practice wins" are showcased for industry stakeholders.
