Where is the office located?

The office is located in the UCL School of Public Policy: The Rubin Building 29/30 Tavistock Sq, London.

What is the writing sample and how long should it be?

The writing sample can be an essay or a report or a section or summary of a dissertation. The sample should be no longer than 3000 words.

How many other people volunteer at the Constitution Unit?

There are typically 3-6 volunteers in every three-month intake.

How often do you recruit?

We have four intakes each year. These are in January, April, July and October.

What are the typical office hours?

Standard office hours - the office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Can I volunteer full time or part time?

Yes, we are flexible and we usually ask volunteers to work between 3 and 5 days a week at the Unit.

What projects will I be working on?

You will be working on one of the research topics in the Unit, and be supervised by an academic and/or a researcher. For the current list of topics that are available, please consult the main Research Volunteers page.

Whom will I be working with?

The Unit is run by the Director, Professor Meg Russell, and the Deputy Director, Dr Alan Renwick. The Unit's team also includes several other academics, researchers and an office administrator.
