Daniel Gover is a Lecturer in British Politics at Queen Mary University of London, a position he has held since September 2019. He was previously a researcher at the Constitution Unit.

Daniel’s primary research interest is in the UK parliament. While at the Unit, he worked on a major investigation into the Westminster legislative process (resulting in the co-authored book Legislation at Westminster). He also conducted research into Commons ‘financial privilege’ and contributed to research into parliament and Brexit. At Queen Mary University of London, he has researched English Votes for English Laws (which resulted in the report Finding the Good in EVEL).

Daniel’s research has been cited in the media, parliament and other policy contexts, and he has appeared before several parliamentary select committees to give evidence based on his findings.
