Unit seeks applicants for the McDougall Fellowship

3 February 2017

McDougall

The Unit invites applications for the McDougall Fellowship: a one-year Research Assistant/Associate position to work on our new project on 'Improving Discourse During Election and Referendum Campaigns'.

The project, which is generously funded by the McDougall Trust, will examine practice in the UK and around the world to ground reform proposals designed to improve the conduct of election and referendum campaigns.  We will focus particularly on improving the quality of information available during campaigns and the ease with which citizens can engage effectively with this information.  The McDougall Fellow will work with the Principal Investigator, Dr Alan Renwick, in planning, conducting, and writing up the research.

We hope that the person appointed will take up the fellowship on 1 April or as soon as possible thereafter.  The closing date for applications is 5 March.  We expect to hold interviews on 22 March.
