First Response in a Box - an interdisciplinary design hackathon looking at today's AI to help in crisis first-response situations.

This is an online design hackathon challenge for students to get to meet others across UCL, work in teams of 10 to produce a short pitch video, learn how to use collaborative tools at UCL, and carry out an investigation on what AI technologies could do to help in various global crisis scenarios.

Guest speakers will be from the International Federation for Red Cross and from Great Ormond St Hospital. The event is a week-long challenge; this is the launch event.

On Thursday 28 there will be a technical session online and final submission is by Sunday 1 October.

This event is open to all new undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences:
