Hackathon Mission
UCL Computer Science proudly announces its inaugural free all-girls hackathon on 25 January 2025 between 9:30-1:30.

This is an empowering event designed to inspire the next generation of female innovators in technology. This initiative reflects UCL’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in the field of computer science, providing a supportive environment for young women to collaborate, create, and solve challenges.
Collaborative Innovation
The all-girls hackathon will bring together students from schools across the UK to tackle exciting technical challenges. Working in teams, participants will brainstorm, design, and develop innovative solutions, all while gaining hands-on experience with the latest tools and technologies.
Mentorship and Guidance
Participants will have access to mentorship from UCL academics and current students. These mentors will offer guidance, share their expertise, and inspire participants to explore the possibilities within the world of computer science.
Showcasing Talent
At the end of the hackathon, teams will present their projects to a panel of judges. This showcase will highlight the creativity, technical skills, and teamwork demonstrated by the participants.
