Jeff Round

Jeff Round is a principal research associate in the UCL Clinical Trials Unit and leads the health economics work of the unit. His primary work focuses on the conduct of economic evaluations for the studies taking place in the unit. Jeff joined the unit in October, 2013. He is currently conducting research for a PhD in economics where his focus is on the costs to society of providing care at the end of life, exploring how markets for end of life care operate and the role of informal carers for people nearing the end of life. He is also interested in the measurement and valuation of health related quality of life and the role of the quality adjusted life year as a measure of outcome for patients nearing the end of life. Jeff also holds a visiting lecturer post with City University, where he contributes to the teaching of the Masters programme in health economics.
