Health Economist – Ekaterina Bordea

Ekaterina joined the Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit in September 2018. As a member of Health Economics Analysis and Research methods Team (HEART), she is responsible for providing advice on health economics issues to academics and clinicians, who are developing proposals for funding, and undertaking cost-effectiveness analyses for funded projects requiring a health economic evaluation.


Ekaterina completed an MSc in Economic Evaluation in Healthcare at City, University of London and holds a PhD in Economics from City, University of London. Her thesis explores the effect of immigration and assimilation on immigrants’ health and health behaviours using evidence from the United Kingdom and Russian Federation.


Ekaterina is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy and has experience in teaching statistics, econometrics and health economics to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
