Trial Manager - Helen Knowles

Helen graduated from the University of Sheffield with a PhD in biophysical chemistry in 1990 and went on to spend three years doing post-doctoral research at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas in Madrid and at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School. 

Following this, she moved into clinical research, taking on the role of data manager at PAREXEL before joining the Quality Assurance department as a clinical auditor where she undertook audits in-house at the offices in London and Berlin and for external companies.

After a break from clinical research, Helen returned to clinical research in 2015 and has since worked as a clinical trial manager at the Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit at UCL (CCTU) and the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear. She has worked over a variety of therapeutic areas including ATIMPS, CTIMPs and surgical trials.
