Clinical Project Manager (Pharmacovigilance) - Emilia Caverly

Emilia has a BSc in Biological Sciences and an MSc in Microbiology and Applied Biotechnology. She worked in laboratory as both a Microbiologist in Sanofi Aventis and as a Process Development Scientist in a bio-tech research lab, developing prostate cancer vaccines. In 2008 she started her career in clinical trials as a CRA for an oncology clinical trial with sites in the UK, USA and Eastern Europe. Emilia also worked in the NHS for 5 years as an oncology Clinical Trials Practitioner (prostate, bladder, renal and testis studies) and Trial Manager in cardiology/genetics at the Royal Brompton Hospital. 

Emilia joined the UCL Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit in 2015 as a Trial Manager for large pan-European randomised study in pregnancy and in 2016 she was promoted to Clinical Project Manager. Her role involves trial development and project management in many therapeutic areas including women’s health, ophthalmology, stroke, haematology and autoimmune diseases. She is also the lead for Pharmacovigilance within the unit.
