Experimental Clinical Trials

One key aim of the MRC Centre is to translate discovery science into treatments for patients.

We are involved in several clinical studies, aiming to improve trial design and coordination, and to establish patient registries and clinicians' networks.

Our studies are divided into four main categories:

• Cohorts where core diagnostic data are aligned to stored biomaterials to help understand the natural history of specific disease
• Clinical trials of investigational medicinal products to investigate new treatments
• Exercise studies assessing the role of physiotherapy
• Imaging studies to develop new MRI techniques
