Our research explores the genetic and environmental risk factors that shape how the brain processes social and emotional information in childhood. The central aim of this research is to better understand mechanisms of developmental vulnerability and resilience. We look at both those factors that contribute to healthy development as well as those that are linked to the emergence of behavioural and emotional problems.
