A series of interactive activities will be followed by a networking reception with complimentary drinks and canapes. This evening is hosted by the Strategic Climate Risks Initiative in collaboration with the UCL Climate Action Unit.
Activities will introduce participants to a new decision-making tool. This tool helps users to explore how the systemic risks of climate change could affect their organisation, and to reflect on actions that could address these risks.
In particular, the tool introduces users to ‘derailment risks’ – the risk that the consequences of climate change could prevent societies from tackling the causes of climate change, creating a vicious cycle.
The tool is designed to support decision-makers in policy, business, and any organisation contributing to sustainability transitions.
The location of this event is Room 822, Floor 8, Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, or Woburn Square/Thornhaugh Street, Bloomsbury, London WC1H 0XG (both entrances gain entrance to the lifts).
