Summer intensive modern foreign language courses
Intensive language courses designed to give participants the opportunity to develop their foreign language and culture skills in a professional context.
These two week intensive courses (35 hours tuition over 10 days) are funded by UCL and are therefore free for UCL students graduating in 2015 (and other UCL students, subject to availability). There is a £400 fee for University of London students and an £950 fee for professional participants.

FREE to UCL students graduating in 2015 (and other UCL students, subject to availability). A deposit of £25 will be required to secure a place (this is refunded on completion of the course.)
£400 for University of London students
£950 for professional participants (all participants who are not UCL or University of London students).

Participants are also expected to spend 2-3 hours each day doing self-study to reinforce and practice what was learned in class. CLIE contains a fully equipped Self-Access Centre which is open from 08:00 to 21:30 Monday to Thursday (19.45 Friday) and 10:00-17:00 on Saturday. Facilities include resource books, journals and newspapers, and online, DVD, audio- and video-cassette library, CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning), satellite television, an audio language laboratory and interactive video equipment.
Participants may be required to purchase course material (e.g. textbook, workbook).
100% attendance is required. On successful completion of the course participants can request by email a Certificate of Participation (this will be sent to the address you provide on the Application Form).
All CLIE College Teaching Fellows are native speakers, highly qualified and experienced in teaching their own language as a foreign language.
