Arlyn holds a specialist LL.M. degree in Competition Law from UCL. Her master studies were supported by a scholarship from the German Gerhard C. Starck Foundation. She wrote her dissertation about the compliance of Uber’s surge pricing algorithm with European competition rules and is generally interested in exploring the application of competition rules to novel business models further. While still enrolled at UCL she joined the Centre for Law Economics and Society (CLES) as a Junior Research Fellow in June 2018. At the CLES she worked inter alia on a report for the World Economic Forum about consumer protection in e-commerce.

Prior to studying at UCL she completed her LL.B. in Business Law at the University of Business and Economics in Vienna (Austria). Arlyn has a strong academic interest in comparative competition law, consumer protection law as well as in microeconomics and finance.
