About & Contact

The Centre for Law, Economics and Society (CLES), established by Professor Ioannis Lianos in 2007, is UCL Faculty of Law’s Centre dedicated to the study of competition law and policy and economic regulation. It promotes the study of regulatory action in all its forms (State, non-State, all forms of collective action), from a trans-disciplinary perspective, in particular drawing on law, economics, sociology, political science and complexity science. We firmly believe that law can address some of the pressing issues of our time and can generate a more just and sustainable society
