Research interests: Literary and Herculaneum papyrology, Hellenistic Philosophy (and its reception in Latin literature), and Greek literature
After a BA in Classics, I did my PhD at the University of Michigan (USA) under Richard Janko on the poetics of Philodemus of Gadara (On the Good Poem According to Philodemus, Oxford 2021) and, with David Armstrong (emeritus, University of Texas at Austin) edited Philodemus’ On Anger with an introduction and the first English translation (SBL 2020). Since then, my work has focused on literary and Herculaneum papyrology, Greek stylistics, and the reception of Greek thought by the Romans. Most recently, I was an Alexander von Humboldt fellow at the Universität zu Köln.
