Open Days for applicants interested in the BA Classics and the Ancient World
- lectures on the history, archaeology, languages and literature of Greece, Rome, Egypt and the Near and Middle East
- opportunities to hear staff from the the Department of Greek and Latin, UCL History, and the Institute of Archaeology talking about their subject
- talks by current undergraduates about their experiences at UCL
- opportunities to speak informally to members of staff and current undergraduates
- tours of the Department and the UCL campus
Departmental Taster Days 2023-24
Our Classics and Ancient World Taster Days are open to students from Years 11 through 13 students or anyone who is considering applying for our undergraduate degree programmes. The Taster Days usually last about 2.5-3 hours and will be held on the following afternoons:
- Wednesday 1 November 2023 (in person): 2:00 - 4:00pm → Register on Eventbrite

We will also be contributing sessions to the UCL-wide open days that will take place in summer 2024.
Departmental UCAS Open Days 2023-24
UCAS Open Days are for school-leavers who have already received an offer of a place on one of our degree programmes. Offer-holders have a chance to meet staff and students, to hear about our programmes and to hear a sample lecture, and to go on a tour of the Department and UCL. The UCAS Open Days usually last about 2-3 hours and will be held on the following afternoons (all in hybrid format: in person & online):
- Wednesday 7 February 2024
- Wednesday 20 March 2024
- Wednesday 24 April 2024
Invitations will be sent out to all offer-holders in advance of each date.
