Student Spotlight: Kwan Suet Tse recipient of UCL CEGE Excellence Prize

Kwan Suet Tse, MSc Geospatial Sciences (Hydrographic Surveying) graduate, has been awarded the UCL CEGE Excellence Prize for their outstanding academic achievements and collaborative contributions.
We are proud to highlight Kwan Suet Tse, an MSc Geospatial Sciences (Hydrographic Surveying) graduate, as one of the recipients of the UCL Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering (CEGE) Excellence Prizes for Postgraduate Students 2023-24. Kwan Suet has been honoured for Best Overall Performance in MSc, reflecting their exceptional achievements and dedication to academic excellence.
Expressing gratitude, Kwan Suet said, “I am deeply thankful to my professors, especially Dr. Cassandra Nanlal, for their mentorship, my classmates for their encouragement, and my family for their unwavering support. This award inspires me to continue striving for excellence as I embark on the next chapter of my career.”
They highlighted the enriching collaborative environment within CEGE as a key part of their experience. “Working with classmates from diverse backgrounds fostered creativity and critical thinking, deepened my understanding of complex concepts, and encouraged me to view problems from multiple perspectives.”
