Joining Instructions for Participants
This page provides joining information for the Colloquium
on Transitions, the inaugural event of the Centre for Interdisciplinary
Studies of Higher Education, which took place at UCL on 24 and
25 October.
We have been delighted to receive a large number of applications
for registration for the Colloquium and will shortly close the
online registration form and start a waiting list. We should therefore
be very grateful if you would let
us know if you no longer intend to come to the Colloquium or
if you are intending to come on one day only.
The final programme is now available
to view on this site.
Although we are unable to make hotels bookings for you, we will
be pleased to provide information on accommodation in the Bloomsbury
area of London. If you would like further information, please email Kelly
Franklin.
The Colloquium takes place in the Garden Room (known previously
as the Eisai Lounge). Registration and coffee will take place at
1.30 pm on 24 October. Please make sure you arrive in good time
for the opening welcome by the Provost, Professor Malcolm Grant,
at 2.00 pm.
You will find detailed maps of the layout of UCL and its location
in London at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/about-ucl/location/maps/
If you are coming to the Colloquium from outside UCL, you should
come to the front lodge in Gower Street, opposite the Cruciform
Building. Walk across the Main Quandrangle to the far right hand
corner (F4 in Map
2) and enter the building at the southern end of the South
Cloisters. You will find the Auto-Icon of Jeremy Bentham opposite
this entrance and the Garden Room immediately behind.
Details of how to reach UCL by public transport may be found at http://www.ucl.ac.uk/about-ucl/location/public-transport/
Since we are encouraging informal discussion, slide projection
facilities will not be available during the Colloquium.
We will be printing a list of names and email address details
of all participants. Please let
us know if you do NOT wish your details to be included in this
list.
We look forward to seeing you at the Colloquium.
