Circular economy funding calls SMEs to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable future
9 November 2021
UK SMEs can apply for up to £100,000 funding to research, test and develop their innovative solution for the circular economy.
The Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Centre for Mineral-based Construction Materials (ICEC-MCM) recently hosted a successful workshop introducing the funding call to interested SMEs. This helps SMEs really engage with the centre, as is required for entry to the competition, but also encourages future collaborations as part of our research program.
For any SMEs interested in collaborating with our centre on their proposal, it’s not too late - register your interest in collaborating via our form and we will be in touch.
To guarantee we are able to review your application, please complete this form by 19th November.
This funding competition forms part of the UKRI National Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Research (NICER) programme, made up of five centres, of which the ICEC-MCM is one.
The purpose of the fund is to support feasibility studies, industrial research and experimental development projects that address the challenges of transitioning to a circular economy. This solution can be aligned with the goals of any of the five centres, with the ICEC-MCM able to support applications aligning with a construction circular economy. Funding will support successful applicants between April 2022 and 2023.
Application deadline: Wednesday 8 December 2021 11:00am UTC.
Would you like to collaborate with the ICEC-MCM and gain support from our network of experts on your proposal?
Please be aware you will be required to collaborate with one of the NICER centres prior to the competition deadline in order to receive support your proposal.
