The ICEC-MCM is funded by UKRI and EPSRC as part of the £30 million NICER Programme which supports new initiatives to increase sustainability, improve resource efficiency and reduce waste in sectors such as materials, textiles, chemicals and metals.The ICEC-MCM brings together 7 academic institutions (25 academics, 15 post-docs, 15 PhD students) and more than 40 industry partners across the UK Construction sector. ICEC-MCM and Loughborough University hosted a half day workshop on Digital Enablers for a Circular Economy on 28 June 2023 which included 3 keynote presentations and a workshop on identifying barriers and enablers for digitisation in the built environment.
