There are 105 UCL computers which UCL staff & students can use. 

Wireless

Eduroam wireless connection is available throughout the library for: UCL staff; students and members of participating higher education organisations.

Computers

There are 7 computers in the library linked to the GOSH network. These are for GOSH staff only and require a GOSH account to login.  

Access to UCL electronic journals and databases

There are five computers, known as 'Explore Access Points', which GOSH members of the library can use to access the ejournals and databases which UCL subscribes to. 

 Over 40,000 full-text electronic journal titles are available, a significant proportion of which are medical and healthcare related. 

UCL's electronic books may also be accessed through the Explore Access Points. To see which ones are available search Explore, and limit the search to Library catalogue 

A number of databases and full-text e-resources (over and above those available via NHS OpenAthens) are also available for searching from the Explore Access Points, including: 

  • Best Practice
  • Biosis
  • Scopus
  • Social Policy and Practice
  • Web of Science

*Note: Users may save copies of documents to their own unencrypted USB storage device (devices using encrypted software cannot be used on Explore Access Point computers). Printing is not currently possible from the Explore Access Points.
