Outline

The module includes: Growth and growth monitoring; Epidemiology of childhood obesity, consequences of childhood obesity (psychosocial issues and medical complications) interventions to prevent and manage obesity, management of eating disorders, evaluation of healthy lifestyle programmes; public health policies focusing on healthy lifestyles. Epidemiology of breastfeeding; interventions to increase prevalence and duration of breastfeeding; association between obesity and physical activity, measurement of physical activity in young children.
