Core modules

Core modules for all five pathways are:

Route-specific core modules

In addition to the above core modules, Molecular and Genomic Paediatrics students are required to do two further core modules from the following three; Molecular Biology of Normal Development and Birth Defects module (CHLD0070)Molecular and Clinical Aspects of Childhood Cancers module (CHLD0071) or Clinical Genomics, Genetics and Rare Diseases module (CHLD0066).

Optional modules

PG Dip

Core modules

PG Dip students must take Evidence-Based Child Health (CHLD0083) and Applied Statistics for Health Research 1 (CHLD0064). They must also choose two of the three following modules: Molecular Biology of Normal Development and Birth Defects (CHLD0070)Molecular and Clinical Aspects of Childhood Cancers (CHLD0071) and Clinical Genomics, Genetics and Rare Diseases module (CHLD0060).

The Research Project (CHLD0063) is not required for the postgraduate diploma, but we do hope that all of our students have the enthusiasm and develop the skills to begin their own projects as a result of the degree.

PG Cert

Core modules
