Community Engagement and Involvement

Our Community Engagement and Involvement (CEI) is grounded in collective values of mutual trust, inclusion and equity which have nurtured relationships with our stakeholders over the past 7 years.

Our stakeholders include healthcare workers, families, communities, non-governmental organisations, academics, software developers and policy makers (Malawi, Zimbabwe, UK).

Key CEI activities:

Funded by a Wellcome Trust Enrichment award and with our partners ArtGlo, the UCL Co-Production Collective, PACHI and BRTI, we are carrying out a series of activities including:

  • Quarterly training led by UCL Co-Production Collective to develop skills, values and principles in co-production.

  • Participatory arts initiatives led by ArtGlo to empower parents/carers of newborns to surface their stories of healthcare use.

  • Opportunities for families/communities to engage with our team, policy makers and healthcare professionals to co-produce family centred models of care.
