3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition - DBC Departmental Heats
23 February 2022
DBC Students and Supervisors it's 3-minute thesis (3MT) competition season once again. The 3MT competition challenges PhD students to present their research topic and its significance to a non-specialist audience in just 3 minutes with the aid of a single slide! It helps students to succinctly explain their research in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.
It does not matter what stage PhD students are at!
How it works: The DBC Departmental heat will be held on Wednesday, 23rd February 2022 between 11am-12noon. Two candidates will be selected and entered into the ICH-level heat which will take place on Thursday, 7th April from 12noon-2pm. Winners of the ICH heat will receive a cash prize and go on to the Faculty heat, then the University heat, and then the national final. There will be prizes for winners at each of these levels.
To sign up for the DBC Departmental 3MT heats or for more information, please email Lauren Russell.
