Veronica Kinsler studied Medicine at Cambridge University graduating in 1994 (MA MB BChir), and took post-graduate Paediatrics qualifications in 1997 (MRCPCH).  She developed an interest in Paediatric Dermatology early in her career, through working at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) in London.  She now specialises in paediatric pigmentary conditions and genodermatoses, and sees patients from around the UK.

She became involved first in clinical and then laboratory research in the field of paediatric pigmentary disorders, and obtained a PhD in Molecular Genetics from UCL.  She is Consultant Paediatric Dermatologist and Academic Lead Clinician in the paediatric dermatology department at GOSH, coordinating genetic research into rare dermatology disorders in children.  As a Wellcome Trust Intermediate Fellow and Principal Investigator at the Institute of Child Health she runs her team's research projects in these fields.
