Research summary

I am a cognitive neuroscientist based at the UCL Institute of Child Health with an interest in the plasticity of the developing brain to neurological insults, such as epilepsy and hypoxia-ischaemia. I use a combination of methods, such as electrophysiology (ERP and EEG), neuroimaging (functional and structural MRI) to map changes in brain function and structure in relation to cognitive development. I am also involved in improving non-invasive diagnostic neuroimaging for children who are candidates for neurosurgery and conduct longitudinal studies in patients who underwent such treatment, with the aim of improving their cognitive and educational development in the long-term.
