Aetiological Investigations for Hearing Loss in children

Aetiological Investigation of the babies identified through the Newborn Hearing Screening Program and diagnosed to have a hearing loss (from mild to profound), also covering investigation of older children, unilateral and progressive hearing loss & Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder.

This will be a virtual course, but will give delegates a good opportunity to interact with leaders in the field of aetiological investigations for hearing loss in children and running established services and also network with colleagues new to the field.

This course will be delivered online.

  • Roles of CMV, Imaging, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Vestibular Assessment and Genetics of hearing loss
  • Investigation of unilateral and progressive hearing loss
  • Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder
Outcome

By attending the course, participants will be able to gain knowledge about arranging for appropriate investigations to find the aetiology of hearing loss in children.
